The teachers of the Light Leaders Teacher Training Workshop have a wealth of direct experience with children and youth all over the community. On this noble path, we have encountered a variety of groups, diverse in race, religion and socio-ecenomic backgrounds. The demand for our work has included public and private schools, community centers, Children’s Homes, Sunday Schools, juvenile detention centers and hospitals. We are passionate about this calling and we are committed to the Teacher’s role on and off the mat. We know your students will come to you in crisis and seeking your guidance. We want you to be armed with expert information, an open heart and and post-workshop access to your Light Leader Teachers for advice while you are out “in the field.”

Crystal combines 6 years as a Kundalini and Children's Yoga and Pilates instructor and an eclectic background in theater, dance, Kundalini, Vinyasa and Hatha yoga to create a holistic fusion of physical expression and discovery. After teaching Theater to homeless and abused youth through Los Angeles Free clinic’s “Project Able,” she attained a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC, Los Angeles in Literature and Child Development. Her own Yoga experience, which began in 1995, re-ignited the same sense of Playful freedom from her youth in theater and dance, but offered additional methods to heal physically, mentally, and emotionally as well. Since receiving her Kundalini Yoga certification in 2003, she continues to find new ways to create a safe and fun environment for students to discover, explore, and express their unique physical and mental gifts.

A 4th generation Los Angeleno, Blaire Baron has been a performing artist on stage and in over 50 films and television since the age of 15. Even longer has she been a practitioner of yoga. Blaire grew up with yoga and had been exposed to Kundalini Yoga as a pre-teenager, when a relative took her to a class with a small group of practitioners, led by Yogi Bhajan in the 1970s. She practiced hatha yoga in her young adult life and then was re-introduced to Kundalini Yoga in 1999 while pregnant with her first child. From there, she transformed her personal passion for this ancient science into a teaching certificate so that she may pass it on to young people. Since receiving her IKYTA teaching certificate at Golden Bridge, whre she was immediately hired by Gurmukh Khalsa to start their first classes for youth ages 7+, she has been actively teaching all over Los Angeles at: LAUSD schools, adults afflicted with AIDS, Hollygrove Children's Home, City Ballet of L.A., Baldwin Hills Community Center, Private Schools and regularly at Golden Bridge. In 2007, she designed and taught a Kundalini Yoga Program inside the P.E. curriculum at Larchmont Charter School, (on the old Hollygrove grounds where she first volunteered) maintaining 16 classes a week. This is addition to holding co-artistic director of The Los Angeles Drama Club, a theatre-based social program, where she incorporates the science and principles of Kundalini Yoga. Blaire runs her programs on the belief that children are wise and capable souls, able to do great things...not someday, but today.
